Amended Curfew

Black Mountain, NC – October 14, 2024.

Effective today, October 14th, 2024, the Town of Black Mountain has amended its State of Emergency declaration concerning curfew time. The new curfew time within the Town of Black Mountain will be 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. daily until further notice. The exceptions to this curfew remain to be for essential personnel such as healthcare workers, emergency first responders, incident command and any healthcare emergencies.

This amends the previous curfew time of 7:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. daily which was in effect from September 30th-October 13th. No other changes have been made to this declaration of state of emergency. Please note this amendment was approved after today’s press release was published, and the new curfew time will be correctly reflected in tomorrow’s press release.
